What is Koda AI?
Koda AI is an AI-powered frontend design tool that helps you turn ideas, text prompts, screenshots, and URLs into production-ready React interfaces. It is built to avoid generic “vibe-coded” layouts by leaning on design-system extraction, consistent spacing and typography, and opinionated UI structure.
How is Koda different from other AI code generators?
Koda optimizes for interfaces that feel intentional: coherent design DNA, fewer cookie-cutter components, and workflows built around mockups and inspiration—not just a single chat box. The goal is UI you can ship and own, not a one-off demo that falls apart when you extend it.
What can I build with Koda?
You can generate full app-style React UIs from a description or flow, extract a “vibe” from a URL, text, or image, and iterate inside the builder. Koda is aimed at dashboards, marketing surfaces, onboarding flows, and other product UI—not low-level backend or database design.
Do I need to know React to use Koda?
You do not need to be a React expert to get value from Koda, but the output is React code. Engineers and technical founders will get the most from exporting and integrating code into their stack. If you are non-technical, you can still explore layouts and interactions in the preview before collaborating with a developer.
How do credits work?
New accounts receive 150 starter credits. A full app generation (mockup to code) uses 100 credits. Extracting a vibe from a URL uses 20 credits; vibe from a short description or from an image uses 5 credits each. Current plans and prices are on the Pricing page.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free includes starter credits and pay-per-export options. Pro adds 4,000 credits per month to your balance and unlimited code export while subscribed—so you keep more of your credits for generations instead of paying per export. Both tiers use the same Koda engine.
How does code export work on Free?
On Free, you can unlock export for a single generation for a one-time fee, or upgrade to Pro for unlimited exports. After a paid export unlock, you also receive 250 bonus credits. Details and current prices are on the pricing page.
Can I use Koda on my phone?
Koda is designed for laptop and desktop browsers. The builder layout, preview, and editing experience need a larger screen today. Open usekoda.dev on a computer for the full workflow.
What happens to my prompts, images, and projects?
Your content is used to run generations and improve your session inside the product. For how long data is retained, how third parties are involved, and your rights, read the Privacy Policy linked in the site footer.
